American Burlesque, the Sexy Strip Tease, can trace it's recent origins to Paris' Moulin Rouge of the 1890's. Made famous by Burlesque star Gypsy Rose Lee during the late 19th century, modern Burlesque has evolved from a satirical form of low comedy vaudeville, to a classy, flirty art stylized by Bettie Page and the modern diva Dita Von Teese.

A new generation has reinvented burlesque, creating what it is today, a fun, sassy, seductive dance. Today New Burlesque has taken many forms, but all have the common trait of honoring one or more of burlesque's previous incarnations, with acts including striptease, expensive costumes, bawdy humor, cabaret and more. There are modern burlesque performers and shows all over the world.

Burlesque is not about overt sex or sleaze, its about the sultry seduction, the playful peeling off of one glove, or the flirting flutter of your lashes. It's all about the great seduction, and invoking the female power.

Dance Diva - Jeslen Mishelle

Jeslen Mishelle embodies grace and sexy style when she undulates across a dance floor.

Jeslen has been a performance artist since she was just a child. It has been her passion throughout her life, driving her to higher and higher levels of perfection. Schooled in all forms of dance, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, belly dance, burlesque, pole/chair dance, to interpretive dance and performance art, she is an eclectic and vibrant performer.

Now she is excited to be able to bring everything she has learned to a variety of audiences at various events. It is her belief that dance is an outlet of self expression, an art of sensuality and passion.

She now wishes to share this love with women, teaching them to build confidence in movements and in their body. Regardless of dance experience, her belief is that everyone is a great dancer - one just needs to feel confident enough to do it.

With classes at Image Provacatuer, Jeslen Mishelle hopes to assist her students in poise, posture and teach them in the basics of belly dance, burlesque and, to spice things up, a little classy strip tease.

Through her classes she wishes to help them feel empowered, more confident in their sensuality and be able to seduce the person of their dreams.

Burlesque Dance Classes Starting January 26, 2010

Starting January 26, 2010
from 8:30pm-9:30pm.

This sensual and sexy class is a fun, fast paced way to Learn Burlesque Dancing.

Combining the styles of modern American Burlesque, Belly Dance and Erotic Strip Tease this class is a great introduction to dance.

By the last class you will have learned a full Dance Routine as well as all the skills you will need to Create your Own Sexy Burlesque Routine.
