Jessica's Winter Skin Tips
1. Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize! Winter can really dry out your skin. My personal favorite moisturizer right now is Dermaquest's Advanced B-5 Serum for Dry skin or Dermaquest's Rejuvaderm for Oily to Problematic skin.
2. Make sure to exfoliate at least twice a week, so that your moisturizer can penetrate into your skin. My favorite exfoliator by far is the Japanese Wash Cloth.
And last, but not least:
3. Remeber to wear your sunscreen. You can still get sun damage even when the sky is gray. Cloud cover can even intensify the affects of the sun if you are outside too long. So be sure to apply a light SPF each day.

Tommy Apostolos Fund was formed to help Roseville's needy children by purchasing new clothing, school supplies, shoes and other fundamental needs by joining with local businesses and community leaders to take these children shopping twice a year. This non-profit organization has been serving the Roseville community children since 1988 and is celebrating over 20 years of taking kids shopping. In 1988, the Fund took 10 children shopping and today the fund provides for clothing needs of over 500 Roseville school-aged children annually. In total they have spent over $1 million on nearly 6,000 kids.
Their mission is to continue the legacy of Tommy Apostolos and the fund that was established in his memory. Each year they raise money to buy clothes for Roseville's needy children. With the help of Roseville school teachers and school administrators they are able to identify children in need and take them shopping in Roseville in August and December, providing them with new clothing, shoes and food.

Halloween
Halloween is a day that gets mixed reviews. Its a day when some believe the spirits roam the earth, a day for fun and frolic and for some fear. Whatever your personal belief there is definitely something about this one day of the year that intrigues and inspires the world.
Its true that this day was once celebrated in ancient times, a pagan holiday filled with mystery and fire. A day that the early Christians feared for its power and the darkness that seemed so close at hand during this time of year when the sun begins to wane. But today, even so many years later, this holiday has survived, taking on a new and glamourous face, that barely hides its ancient origins. What is it about Halloween that facinates and thrills the world? That thrills young and old alike? Why do we like Halloween? Because we get to reinvent ourselves, reimagine who we are, unleash our alter ego and revisit our childhood. We get to be whomever we want to be.
So light the fires, break out the paint and be whomever you want to be this year. For one day, you are free to be...you.

Dana Schleth: Photographer
"I've always been addicted to fact. In college, I thought this addiction would lead me to a career in Business finance or economics. Well, three associate degrees and an internship proved otherwise; I loathed the confines of a desk, a computer, and paper walls. So, less than a year from graduation I decided to take a well-deserved soul-searching road trip from LA to Florida. I started off driving 85 mph but a speeding ticket forced me to slow down and look, not just to look, but to really see. I realized there was an entire world around me. A world I had never seen, I was so small and it had so much to teach me. Fortunately, I packed the old canon camera my grandmother had given me and three lenses that I had hardly used before. I was a little less than half way when I realized I had become fused, with the old camera from my sock drawer. "
When she returned from Florida Dana felt driven to search a path into photography and within three months she was attending Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara. She found her dream, her passion in a lens. During her time at Brooks she became involved with several photography studios and studied under many well known photographers such as Chuck Place, Bill Robbins and Greg Voight. She also did commercial work for Santa Barbara County's First Five program and several local small businesses. She graduated with honors from Brooks in Southern California with a B.A. in Digital Imaging.
In 2008 Dana was recognized by the International Society of Photographers for some of her work. The image honored is now featured in an anthology titled Endless Journeys.
Dana is a truly talented artist, bringing her keen eye and love of beauty into any realm. From commerical to bridal from boudoir to high fashion she can capture the beauty life through the eye of her lens.
Image Provocateur is now Dana's home. Call us now for your own session with Dana and let her capture your beauty.

Featured Artist - Angel Rotar
We met Angel a little over a year ago when we were asked to do the makeup for a bridal photoshoot. All of us were impressed by this young woman's poise, presence and professionalism. A few months later we worked with Angel again for the Hair Wars competition at the Park Ultra Lounge. It was at that time we began to see how good Angel actually was. She coached and coordinated the models, using her experince and skill to help them achieve a level of professionalism mosty amateur models could never achieve. Now we are pleased to say that Angel has made VIP-CAT Academy her new home, bringing all of her knowledge and skill to our students and helping them achieve the ultimate goal of model. To get signed with professional agents and make the runway their home.
Angel fell in love with modeling over three years ago when she participated in her first photoshoot. From then on it developed from a hobby into a passion and Angel has dedicated her life to it. She began with one runway show per month from which she quickly expanded to professional photoshoots and runway modeling shows all over California. Since then Runway has become "my second street I walk regularly." The more time she began to contribute to modeling the more she began to realize how passionate she was about it. Now days she works as a model/coach full time. On a regular basis, she trains and works with new models who after only few weeks with her are able to move on to Professional Agencies. "It has been a climb for me but I am ready for whatever life throws at me and modeling is a live example of that. I am independent, motivated, and want only the best for all of my students."
What more could you ask in a mentor and Angel is there to take you the height of your dreams.

Dream to be a Model......
Fashion modeling is no longer only available to tall, thin girls. Companies are looking for "real people" types, of all looks and sizes to advertise their products and services. These models are just what the name suggests: real looking people to represent someone the average consumer can identify with in their ads. There are a number of types of modeling jobs to choose from, besides the traditional runway modeling that everyone usually thinks of. In addition to runway modeling, you can have a successful career modeling products for specific companies or posing for magazines. There are specific teen modeling jobs, along with modeling and acting jobs for television or film. The VIP-CAT Academy's Modeling Program is a 20 hour training program encompassing all major phases of modeling. The object of the course is to bring each student to an ideal level of professionalism in photography and fashion show runway modeling.
